Foodies know that many of the hottest new restaurants in Las Vegas are located in Chinatown, but not all of them are Asian restaurants. Edo serves Spanish small plates and their tapas have been earning rave reviews since the restaurant opened. Not only will guests find a host of well-crafted dishes, they’ll also enjoy very reasonable prices since the restaurant is located off the Strip, which almost automatically means a lower tab at the end of the night. Look for selections of oysters, cured meats (like Iberico and Bellota pork), and an assortment of flavorful dishes, like croquetas with kimchi pisto and tuna crudo, or braised and crispy eggplant with almonds, honey and lime zest. Although Edo is a Spanish restaurant, you will find a few Asian touches on the menu, like the Duck Ramen.

Partage describes itself as a modern French dining experience, and its menu and sophisticated ambiance validate that description. Tasting menus are offered with five, seven or nine courses ($80 – $130). An appetizer menu offers plates the table can share, like braised octopus, goat cheese or escargot. A la carte dishes can be served in individual portions or large portions to share between two or three people. Selections include Iberico pork, whole fish or an 18-ounce rib eye, grass fed, smoked with the diner’s choice of Applewood or hay and served with potato gnocchi, mushrooms and sauce. Chef David Chang is the mind behind Majordōmo Meat & Fish at The Venetian. The chef has assembled a menu that’s full of innovation and original flavors with Asian inspiration. The menu’s focus is on the meat and fish, in particular the Smoked Prime Rib, which is dry aged and cured for 24 hours before being smoked for five hours. The meaty menu is full of other options, like the smoked beef short rib, an 18-ounce bone-in pork chop or a 60-ounce Tomahawk Ribyeye. Snapper, halibut and striped bass are also offered, as is a raw bar. Sides include creamed spinach, mashed potatoes, marinated mushrooms and creamy polenta.

True Food Kitchen is dedicated to healthy food, and their whole approach emphasizes principles behind good eating. All the dishes are designed to give you not only great flavor, but also tasty nutrition. They carefully source their food and, as you might expect, use fresh and in-season ingredients as much as possible. Rotating menus feature seasonal ingredients, and dishes can be customized to accommodate keto, paleo and other dietary needs. Look for dishes like the fig and gorgonzola flatbread, edamame guacamole or charred cauliflower for starters. Pizzas and bowls are offered, as are “burgers” made with beets, quinoa or turkey. For entrees, you’ll find dishes like the Thai Coconut Sea Bass with a coconut turmeric broth, shiitake mushroom, bok choy, green bean, rainbow carrot and quinoa brown rice.

Whenever a popular restaurant chain arrives in Las Vegas, it causes a stir, and The Crack Shack was no exception. The power of this restaurant’s fried chicken has created a dedicated following, and devoted fans were excited to have another location at which to satisfy their Crack Shack cravings. With a casual and colorful TV-filled interior, the Las Vegas Crack Shack offers a fast casual dining option on the Strip. The tasty, premium fried chicken is offered in a variety of styles: in sandwiches, in 5 or 10 piece orders or in bowls. You’ll find the expected fries as a side, but also deviled eggs and Mexican Poutine, a combination of fries, pollo asada and jalapeno cheese wiz.

Neighborhood restaurant Locale Italian Kitchen is creating buzz all over Las Vegas with its talented chef’s attention-grabbing cuisine. The restaurant’s pleasant interior design has both industrial and farmhouse touches, with the result being a comfortable setting for the homestyle Italian dishes. While the menu changes daily with seasonal availability, look for distinctive dishes like rigatoni bolognese or beef cheek ravioli, as well as pastas, antipasti and pizza. Brunch is served on the weekends from 10:30 to 2:30 and offers some classic choices, like a bottomless mimosa, Bloody Mary, pastries, fritters, a meat and cheese plate, stuffed French Toast or a frittata, among other choices.

The Mayfair Supper Club just might be the start of a new trend. This restaurant isn’t just a restaurant. It’s also a performance venue of sorts. With a wonderful location overlooking the Fountains of Bellagio, The Mayfair is colorfully designed with a style that feels a little retro. Amid the dinner tables is a stage for the nightly live performances, and later in the evening it becomes more of a lounge during Mayfair After Dark. The dinner menu includes selections of chilled shellfish, including a seafood tower, sushi and caviar, along with other starters. Entrees include dishes like branzino, lamb chop with minted pistachio crust, salmon or filet mignon with truffle sauce. Later in the evening, the menu gets lighter during Mayfair After Dark with offerings like a truffle burger and sushi rolls.

La Monjá Cantina is one of the latest additions to Ferguson’s Downtown, a revitalized motel on East Fremont that’s now home to cool shops and restaurants. La Monjá brings a Mexican flair to the area, with a cuisine that embraces all regions of Mexico. The emphasis here is on quality and freshness, and the restaurant often uses locally sourced products. They even grind the corn for their tortillas, which is a great example of their approach to food. Guests will find plenty of seafood at La Monjá, like grilled octopus, sea bass, grilled shrimp and even a raw bar. The dishes here are full of great flavors and spice, like the Shrimp Aguachile Verde with cilantro, serrano peppers, cucumber, shallots, yuzu and avocado, or the Al Pastor Steak with achiote adobo, pineapple, shishito and green onion. An extensive selection of tequila and mezcal is also offered.

Located in trendy, foodie-centric Downtown Las Vegas, Hatsumi started creating a buzz before it even opened. Featuring robata izakaya dining and a yakitori bar, Hatsumi brings excellent and affordable Japanese dining to the food scene in the area. Dishes cover a wide range of small plates, $5 snacks and skewers. Look for items like edamame, miso soup, house-made tofu, steamed local vegetable dumplings, pork belly skewers and kimchi. A robust cocktail menu includes beer, wine and sake as well as inventive cocktails. Hatsumi’s location at Fergusons Downtown puts it in one of the most recently renovated areas–and most recognizable since the striking public art here is of a semi-truck twisted into a giant “S” shape.

When Cipriani Las Vegas arrived in town at Wynn, it brought a well-earned reputation for upscale Italian food with it. The brand has restaurants world-wide, but the Las Vegas location is the first on the West Coast. The interior design has a nautical theme with serene neutral tones, giving guests an inviting space to enjoy the restaurant’s acclaimed food. Signature dishes include carpaccio alla Cipriani, baked tagliolini with ham, pizza, Japanese dishes and even a decadent vanilla meringue. Other menu choices range from expected standards like pizza and pasta to a 28-ounce Wagyu Rib Eye Tomahawk.
