If you’re in the market for a true, old-style Vegas experience, then visit the Golden Steer. This legendary restaurant has been around since 1958 and has hosted guests like Sammy Davis Jr., Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Elvis Presley. The atmosphere is truly vintage Vegas, and the food retains its classic style. The menu offers all the old-school dishes you’d expect from a traditional Las Vegas steakhouse. To begin your meal, choose from favorites like Oysters Rockefeller, escargots or seafood stuffed mushroom caps. Be sure to have the famous Caesar Salad, prepared tableside. As for the steaks, guests can choose from all the standard cuts and three sizes of prime rib. A Chateaubriand for Two is also offered, a memorable classic.

One Steakhouse delivers a first-rate dining experience, which is not surprising when you learn about the restaurant’s founders. Brothers Michael and David Morton come from a line of notable restaurateurs and used all that knowledge to create One Steakhouse. The two-story restaurant is upscale but not intimidating, and the menu offers guests choices of seafood, steak, chicken, lamb and veal. Steak is the star attraction and guests will find a host of cuts ranging from filet to rib eye as well as a porterhouse or tomahawk for two. Wagyu beef is available, both domestic and A5. Seafood choices include chilled selections of oysters, hamachi, poke, shrimp and a shellfish platter along with entrees like scallops and Maine lobster tail. Well-crafted cocktails and a selection of tempting desserts round out the offerings.

Echo & Rig’s distinctive design, which features a butcher shop on the first floor, elevates the traditional steakhouse experience. The décor’s comfortable, slightly industrial style keeps the atmosphere casual and welcoming, and diners come dressed both casually and more formally. Serving lunch, dinner and a weekend brunch, signature selections include the Spencer Steak, classic Rib-Eye, and the Bavette (American Kobe beef), as well as a host of other cuts, including the rip-eye cap and trip-tip. All steaks are served with a selection of tasty sauces like a red wine demi, brandied mushroom, and horseradish cream. Beef isn’t the only choice at Echo and Rig, which also offers lamb, chicken, and fish.

Jose Andres’ Bazaar Meat offers meat in more forms than the average person might even be able to think of. Tartares, carpaccios, cured meats, steak, lamb and pork – along with other meaty options – fill the menu in a profusion of delicious dishes. A5 Japanese Wagyu is available, and the domestic beef is sourced so precisely that the menu lists the ranch on which the beef was raised. Other dishes include Chateaubriand, roasted Jidori chicken, Burifarra Spiral (with Catalan-style pork sausage) and rack of lamb from New Zealand. Before you dig into the meat of your meal, enjoy a raw bar, oysters or caviar. A selection of specialty cocktails rounds out the menu, giving diners a choice of finely crafted beverages to go along with the food.

Downtown Las Vegas’ newest resort casino, Circa, has created a lot of buzz since it’s opening, in no small part because of its stellar restaurants – which include Barry’s Downtown Prime. This steakhouse offers guests a classy, vintage ambiance to go along with fine steaks, seafood and cocktails. With its sexy, stylish design and a menu full of finely prepared dishes, Barry’s is a great choice for a date night or special occasion. The menu offers plenty of seafood, including a shellfish platter with Maine lobster, king crab legs, oysters, shrimp cocktail, octopus and calamari salad. The steak selections encompass both wet and dry aged cuts, which run the gamut from filet to tomahawk.

Green Valley Ranch in Henderson is an off-Strip location that attracts both locals and visitors, and Hank’s Fine Steak & Martinis is one of the draws. As the name indicates, the menu here offers dangerously tasty drinks along with sumptuous cuts of beef. Starters include seafood, oysters, salads and French Onion Soup – all of which it would be easy to fill up on even before you get to the main event, the steaks. The Prime cuts include filet mignon, New York, Kansas City strip, ribeye and T-bone. Chateaubriand and tomahawk cuts are offered in large sizes for sharing. American Wagyu and certified A5 Japanese Kobe are also available. Additional selections include seafood, chicken, lamb chops and veal.

The Andiamo Italian Steakhouse is tucked away on the second floor of The D Hotel and Casino. Its reputation for great food attracts locals and tourists from all over the city. This Detroit original serves up tender, perfectly cooked steaks – including the Andiamo Tomahawk, a long bone 32-ounce rib eye – as well as charbroiled lamb and veal chops, plus pastas like Tortellacci Giuseppe with handmade ricotta cheese-filled pasta, Italian sausage, mushrooms, onions, spinach, roasted tomato and creamy marsala sauce. The restaurant’s beef is premium grade, and they also feature lamb, veal and chicken that are hormone-free, free-raised, and all natural. The small room has quickly gained a following and although the ownership is relatively new, the atmosphere is all Old Vegas.

Located just down the street from the Las Vegas Convention Center, Cleaver is a steakhouse with a retro vibe and a menu full of excellent steaks, appetizers and sides. The restaurant’s off-Strip location means you’ll have a much lower tab than anything you’ll find on the Strip, and the quality of both the food and service are equal to or better than comparable places along Las Vegas Boulevard. Steak cuts include a flatiron, filet mignon, New York strip, ribeye, tomahawk and Porterhouse for two. Surf and turf is available at market pricing and an extensive selection of sauces, rubs and toppings are offered. The sides and appetizers are not to be missed here, with the blue cheese spinach and the squid ink pasta being particular crowd pleasers.

This Downtown Las Vegas steakhouse is named after former mayor Oscar Goodman. Located inside the Plaza’s iconic dome, the restaurant exudes an Old Vegas ambiance. Fans of the movie “Casino” may recognize the interior, where one of the movie’s scenes was filmed. Oscar’s décor incorporates memorabilia from Goodman’s 12-year tenure as mayor, including personal artifacts, photographs and news clips. While the atmosphere is truly unmatched, Oscar’s perfectly aged steaks cooked over a 600-degree grill and made-from-scratch sides are what keep guests coming back for more. You’ll find plenty of classics here, from the fried calamari and crab cakes on the appetizer side to the juicy Prime Rib.

You’d expect nothing less than a fabulous steakhouse at Wynn, and SW lives up to that expectation. Overlooking the Lake of Dreams and designed with sleek accents of marble, leather and wood, SW gives diners the perfect ambiance to go along with an elegant meal. Perfectly charred steaks are the featured item on the menu and include a mouth-watering array of choice cuts of beef like Bone-In Rib Eye, New York Strip, Filet Mignon, Bone-In New York and a 30-ounce Tomahawk chop. A Pepper Crusted Chateaubriand is also served. Feel like your steak needs a little something extra? Add an accompaniment like Maine Lobster Tail, Peppercorn Shrimp Scampi or smoked bacon & shallots to your meal. If you don’t feel like steak – which seems unlikely at SW, but still – the extensive menu also offers scallops, salmon and chicken, as well as vegetarian selections.
